Learning Champions, Ambassadors and Union Learning Representatives are a vital and integral part of LLN workplace provision. They become valuable and trusted members of staff who are able to encourage and engage with colleagues to help with the progression, uptake and sustainability of LLN courses and programmes.

Learning Champions are people who engage directly with learners or potential learners, help them decide how to meet their learning needs and point them towards suitable learning programmes. Without the work of Learning Champions others may not know what is available to them.

• An enthusiasm for learning
• Support for adult learning

All of these skills are necessary and essential for anybody within a workplace.  A Learning Champion is encouraged to develop all of these skills and is enabled to signpost and support others into further education and development.
