Role profiles

Think about your own job. During the average working day you will use many different skills or competences.

Similarly, when every job is broken down into its constituent parts you can see that it involves the individual member of staff having a variety of competences.

All of these together are called a 'role profile'. Examples of these can be seen by entering ‘Role Profile Library’ in the search section of the main Skills for Health website. Every profile will include language and literacy and many include numeracy.
